Chris Thomas takes regular photographic assignments from many of the world's largest energy companies. He also loves journalistic work. His work has appeared in such American publications as; THE NEW YORK TIMES, TIME magazine, NEWSWEEK and SPORTS ILLUSTRATED. He was the only Canadian photographer put on exclusive contract by SPORTS ILLUSTRATED during the Calgary Winter Olympics. His work has appeared in such Canadian publications as Maclean's, Cosmopolitan, Saturday Night, The Financial Post, The Globe & Mail, The National Post and many others. His work has also appeared in European and Asian publications such as NEWSWEEK JAPAN, DER SPIEGEL, London Sun and SEURA.

Since 2000, Chris has been increasingly active, developing Alberta Locations, to assist Producers and Directors who want to come to this beautiful part of the world to shoot their projects. In the early `80s Chris worked in the North Sea as a Deep Sea Diver specializing in underwater photography and non-destructive testing for such companies as Lloyds of London, British North Sea Oil Corp., McDermott International Inc., Danbor and Statoil. In Canada, he has shot annual reports for all of the largest energy companies.
